We focus exclusively on respected original lineages, what we call the "heritage lines". Our foundational pedigrees include the names of most of the first 16 horses to set foot on American soil (that story here), as well as dozens of the breed's most famous horses throughout the UK. Notably, and what others cannot claim, each of our horses has its origins (with registered DNA) in the influential stallions that created the breed, each original line created by the most prolific gypsy families, and relationship to the winningest horses in the breed's history. They also proudly carry several different prefixes in their names, indicating their descent from the greatest gypsy breeders and families around the world; with whom we maintain constant contact and who have served our understanding of genetics immeasurably.

The majority of our herd proudly carries the lineage and/or the "GG" prefix of Dennis and Erin Thompson's Gypsy Gold Farm. Through their genetics, friendship and as the first importers of Gypsy Vanner Horses in America as well as founders of the GVHS registry, their knowledge, experience and dedication to the greatness of the breed have provided us with immeasurable support and a quality foundation to begin our breeding program. They were the first genetics of our herd and will continue to be the foundation of our program. There is perhaps no greater concentration of knowledge throughout the history of the breed and its players, more importantly, we are eternally grateful to be able to call Dennis and Erin friends and family.

Also prominent in our herd is the River Lane Ranch "RLR" prefix from the Baird family, notable for their high quality breeding program. Their knowledge is a true rarity and their commitment to only the best of SD lines is essential to their success. Inspired by them, we are privileged to know the Down family, continuers of the legendary breeding of their father, Steve Down. They have been exceptional guides, critics and, ultimately, friends.

Through those lines, and in addition to horses sourced directly from true gypsy breeders, we proudly continue the lineage of families who have dedicated their entire lives to the pursuit of the perfect caravan horse. This includes, among others, Jimmy McCann son of Patsy McCann, famous for Romany Rye / The White Horse, identified as one of the three most influential stallions in the breed.

Our partnership with these breeders goes beyond business or "horse politics"; our continuation of their dreams is the result of our decision to focus on the breed standard and the best possible genetics, diversifying enough to produce what we believe are truly unique specimens of historic heritage.
